About Lisa Simpson
I am a kiwi, born and bred in New Zealand, met an American guy while traveling the world for 5 months, got married and lived in NZ for 2 years then moved to S CA where two children later, we have stayed!! All my family/good friends are still there, thank goodness for facetime and email, I never feel far away now! Yes I have an accent, sometimes it takes a few tries to guess the right country, but everyone seems to like it, I hear very often ‘I love your accent’.
When I am not planning/doing weddings, I love to travel. Europe, Downunder, Pacific Islands, and the Caribbean are all places I visit often, and I have been to many other parts of the world to check them off the list. My passion for weddings and travel has also come together through the Assn of Bridal Consultants relationship with Sandals Resorts in the Caribbean, where I am a certified Sandals Specialist and can help you with honeymoons and vacations to any of their adult resorts as well as the family, Beaches Resorts, and weddings too!! My Experience
13 years of planning wedding events (2-1200 guests) for the Disneyland Resort. Created, sold, and co-ordinated the Disney Fairytale Wedding program (CA) in 1993 and worked with thousands of happy brides and grooms and their parent’s until March 2001.
Member of Association of Bridal Consultants since 1993
Have attended 14 international and state conventions & bi annual conferences for select members in New York.
I was on the OC board for 2 years planning each monthly event, décor/entertainment/program/F&B- average attendance 200 each event.
I attend LA/OC/SD monthly meetings as often as I can, this way I keep up on new locations, trends, get to try different F&B and network
I have been an independent Wedding Planner, Co-ordinator, Producer, since 2001 and I still love it! You will see that each wedding I do is custom, it is based on your style/vision/budget, and I have different vendors/teams we pull together to give you what you want. Thus it is never boring/easy or no thinking needed on my part!! The relationships I have cultivated over many years with venues and vendors show and only benefit you, your wedding and the whole experience!
